Roberto Zane is the only heir to the experience of a family tradition of master glassmakers in Murano, which has recovered the ancient art of decoration called 'Tre fuochi'. An ancient tradition that his grandfather Giovanni, master engraver and decorator, recovered in the last century (in the 40s) from wall decorators already active at the beginning of the 20th century. The first company relied exclusively on the manual work of his grandfather, who then passed on his love and passion for this art to his children, of whom Ennio (Roberto's father) was the translator in the 60s when the family business moved to the Venetian hinterland. Gradually the company has become more and more a point of reference for the market in Venice and thanks to the discovery of new techniques and the great patience and passion that this art requires, today Roberto Zane is one of the most authoritative testimonials of the art of decorated glass, making this particular three-fire technique known not only locally but all over the world. His art is based on the classical and artisan canons of glass working in the past. This technique, skilfully handed down from generation to generation, brings with it the respect and love for the mystery of the sand and the incandescent fire that is transformed into the matter: glass. Each glass object is decorated completely by hand with the highest quality materials that make the item unique and of rare beauty. What makes each product unique is the particular workmanship, today defined as "the concentrated expression of Baroque" which sees the union of glass with 100% pure gold and relief enamels. Now RossoVeneziano di Roberto Zane is a modern company where glass is worked with art, passion and creativity that has always been an active part of a family tradition dedicated to this work.
